KERRY - LAVROV MEETING ON SYRIA GENEVA, SWITZERLAND 09 SEPTEMBER 2016 US Secretary of State John Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will meet again in Geneva on Friday 9 of September for the fourth time within two weeks to discuss the Syrian conflict resolution. The meeting follows talks between the U.S. and Russia on the sidelines of the G20 summit in China this week that failed to close the gaps between them on resolving the crisis. U.S. President Barack Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin met for more than an hour on Monday to try to reach a deal, and urged the two top diplomats to continue negotiations to find an agreement on a ceasefire in Syria.
