Juan Manuel Santos, President of Colombia, announced the official date for the signing of the peace agreement. FARC and government will terminate the process next September 26 in Cartagena de Indias. Thus they closed almost four years of negotiations in Havana. In addition, the Government has the approval of the people.

FARC PEACE SIGNING
CARTAGENA, COLOMBIA | 25-27 SEPTEMBER 2016

After more than half of century of armed conflict, the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC-EP) will sign a peace deal with the government of Colombia’s President Juan Manuel Santos.

The accord will be signed in the Caribbean city of Cartagena on September 26. The agreement ends a bloody war which has left more than 220,000 people dead and millions exiled from their homes.
