EU FOREIGN MINISTERS' MEETING -GYMNICH BRATISLAVA, SLOVAKIA 2-3 SEPTEMBER, 2016 The informal meeting of EU foreign ministers (strategic discussion format – Gymnich) will take place in Bratislava on 2–3 September 2016. The ministers will discuss current topics of global foreign and security policy. Starting on Friday, ministers will speak about the current developments in Turkey and future prospects for EU-Turkish relations. The discussion will be followed by an evaluation of the Minsk peace process and its prospects. On Saturday morning a joint meeting together with EU candidate countries will be held to discuss on counterterrorism and joint challenges, including prevention of radicalization and extremism. A press conference by the High Representative/Vice-President of the Commission Ms. Mogherini and Slovak Foreign Minister Mr Lajčák will be held at the closure of Gymnich on Saturday 3 September at 10:00 GMT in the Press center of the Reduta building, at E. Suchoň Square 1 in Bratislava.
