Prime Minister Theresa May announced her Brexit plans after her meeting with the Cabinet at Chequers, and revealed that immigration controls will not be negotiable. This comes as a major blow for European leaders who had insisted that Britain should accept free movement of EU migrants in order to have access to the single market.
However Theresa May is defiant about pursuing a “unique” deal with the EU bloc, which now has to decide if they want to trade freely with Britain and accept UK’s stance on immigration.
