The trial of a 95-year-old Hubert Z. accused of being a former SS medic from the Auschwitz concentration camp will begin at the District Court in Neubrandenburg. He is charged with murder in connection with more than 3,000 deaths in 1944. He was present when at least 14 trains of deportees arrived, including Anne Frank, the writer of the famous diaries who died in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp.
