The next Meeting of the Economic and Financial Affairs Council (ECOFIN) in Bratislava will focus on the member states' economic, employment and fiscal policies with expectations to adopt country specific recommendations on productivity.
The Council is also expected to adopt directives to tackle corporate tax avoidance in conjunction with discussions on new proposals to prevent money laundering and taxation transparency.
In addition, the Commission will hold an informal meeting with representatives of the European Parliament with discussions on the EU's banking union and monetary issues related to the BREXIT.
