Toro de la Peña 2016
This year would be the first year that the bull won't be killed by a spear in Tordesillas as it has been forbidden as an ancient but cruel tradition by the local government. For around 500 years the annual Toro de la Vega tournament has consisted of armed horsemen and thousands of onlookers driving a bull out of the village, wounding and weakening it with their lances, knives and spears on the way.
