A massive gathering is planned to take place on August 7th in Yenikapı, Istanbul, to contribute to the normalization of the country in wake of July 15 coup attempt. The anti-coup rallies across Turkey have gathered millions of people since the attempt. It will culminate in Yenikapı with the massive rally, with the participation of citizens from all different political views, political leaders, high-ranking military officers, as well as artists and athletes. Erdogan said that the nation should be there together and that "accelerating the process of normalization is extremely important for our country".
