The second Global Conference on Health and Climate is to take place in Paris. It will showcase how the public health community will support implementation of the COP 21 Paris Agreement on climate change in order to advance a healthier and more sustainable society. The conference will be opened by the French Minister of State for Development and Francophonie, French and Moroccan Ministers of Environment and the Queen of Spain, as well as high-level WHO and UN Climate officials. Some 300 government ministers from WHO member states, as well as health practitioners and climate change experts are expected to attend.
