EUROGROUP & ECOFIN COUNCIL MEETINGS LUXEMBOURG, LUXEMBOURG 16-17 JUNE 2016 The Eurogroup meeting will take place in Luxembourg on 16 June 2016, and the Economic and Financial Affairs Council meeting will take place in Luxembourg on 17 June 2016. The Eurogroup will tackle inflation and exchange rate developments, thematic discussion on growth and jobs: sustainability of pension systems in the euro area, International Monetary Fund - Article IV review of the euro area and the Eurogroup work programme for the second half of 2016. The ECOFIN meeting agenda will include Anti tax avoidance directive, Strengthening the banking union, Financial transaction tax, European Semester, Fighting VAT fraud: reverse charge mechanism and New rules on prospectuses.
