VIENNA, AUSTRIA

A decision on whether Russian athletes will be allowed to compete at sport’s greatest event, the Olympic Games, is set to be made on June 17 in Vienna.
The IAAF’s (International Association of Athletics Federations) ruling Council is due to decide on whether athletes from one of the world’s most powerful countries -Russia– can participate at this summer’s Olympics in Rio.
The decision will be based on the report from Rune Andersen, Chairman of the independent IAAF taskforce on the developments in Russia.
Russia was suspended last November over "state-sponsored" doping revealed in a report commissioned by the World Anti-Doping Agency.
The official Press Conference is expected to start at 17:05 (local) / 1505 GMT.
