The German Christian Social Union (CSU), the Bavarian sister party to Merkel’s Christian Democratic Union (CDU) is to hold a crisis meeting from 24 – 25 June 2016 in Potsdam.
The struggle to forge a coalition agreement on inheritance tax comes against the backdrop of a damaging split between the CDU and the CSU following the mass influx of asylum seekers into Germany last year.
