The Justice and Home Affairs Council will take place in Brussels on 20 May, 2016.

The visa policy will be on the agenda as ministers will focus on the recent Commission proposal for the revision of the suspension mechanism which can be applied to all existing visa liberalisation agreements.

The Council will also exchange views on several migration-related issues, in particular the state of play of the implementation of the EU-Turkey statement of 18 March and the progress on the proposal for a European border guard.
