The Council will discuss security matters, following-up on the meeting of 24 March 2016, in the aftermath of the Brussels attacks.
Ministers will focus on the use and interoperability of databases and the recent Commission proposals on the smart borders package. Also they discuss the implementation of the European Council conclusionsand the EU-Turkey statement. Views will also be exchanged on the Commission's communication on the reform of the common European asylum system.
