Demonstrations and blockades by migrants in Greece have been taking place ahead of the implementation of EU / Turkey accords on the deportation of refugees due on Monday 04 April.

Along with the border crossing of Indomeni and several Greek islands, the Port of Pireos in Athens has seen a build up of migrant and refugee numbers ahead of Monday’s planned implementation of the EU Migrant deportation plan. Tensions remain high among the approximately 3000 migrants taking refuge in the Port, most of whom are refusing to move to the official centres being set up by the Greek authorities.
