They will also discuss the proposal for a directive on control of the acquisition and possession of weapons. This directive reviews and completes current legislation, taking into account the recent terrorist attacks.

Justice ministers are expected to adopt a general approach on a proposal for a directive on combatting terrorism. This proposal aims to provide common definitions of terrorist offences and to criminalise preparations linked to those offences.
