UEFA will hold an emergency executive committee meeting after its President Michel Plantini was issued a 90-day suspension from his position as vice president of FIFA, amid allegations of bribery and corruption. UEFA says it is standing by Platini

FIFA President Sepp Blatter and its Secretary-General Jerome Valcke were also suspended for 90 days by the organisation's ethics committee.

All 54 member football associations of UEFA are also due to meet on the same day - Thursday 15th October- at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.
