Eurovision News Events

Montreux, Switzerland Talks on Teheran’s nuclear program will resume on 2 March in Montreux, Switzerland. This has been agreed after US Secretary of State John Kerry and Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Jayad Zarif emerged from two days of meetings last week. Kerry will have previously met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at the 28th Session of the Human Rights Council in nearby Geneva . Although all parties acknowledge much remains to be done before an agreement with Teheran on the Iranian nuclear program can be reached, sources say there seems to be some progress made. The P5+1 group -- the United States, Russia, China, Britain, France and Germany -- are seeking to negotiate an agreement with the Iranians regarding Teheran’s nuclear weapons technology. A previously set deadline for an agreement to be reached by 31 March is looming. The US insists it will not rush until a satisfactory arrangement on nuclear weapons is reached, Iran is hoping that once a deal is in place, it will bring relief from international sanctions.
