The summit was announced shortly after the terrorist attacks on satirical newspaper ‘Charlie Hebdo’ and a Jewish deli in Paris. The aim of the summit is to counter the tools used by terror groups such as Islamic State, that lead marginalized individuals to join terrorist organizations.
