German Chancellor Angela Merkel has ruled out the prospect of debt relief for Greece, adding to tensions between the radical new Greek government and its international creditors.

In her interview with the Hamburger Abendblatt newspaper Mrs Merkel said that she still wanted Greece to stay in the eurozone.
