Football supporters will crowd central Madrid as Atletico Madrid face crosstown rivals Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League final, being played out in Lisbon on 24 May.

Atletico fans will be hoping their team can triumph in their first European Cup final in 40 years, while Real Madrid supporters have ended a 12-year wait to reach a Champions League final.
It is the first time in the history of the competition that two teams from the same city will contest the final. Raucous celebrations are expected in central Madrid by supporters of the winning team.
Official celebrations will take place on Saturday 24 and/or Sunday 25 May, depending on which team wins.
