The Associated Press seeks two Video-Journalists with a history of successful video storytelling to join its team in Washington, D.C.


Reporting to a deputy news director in Washington, these Video-Journalists will primarily shoot, write and edit video — including LIVE video — stories for AP’s video customers and platforms. As a member of a dynamic news operation that covers the U.S. federal government and American politics, these Video-Journalist must collaborate with colleagues of all formats across the U.S. and beyond to help produce a competitive and comprehensive all-formats news report. The successful candidates must also pitch, develop and research enterprise stories and contribute reporting in other media formats — including text, photos and audio. The successful candidates must also be willing to travel across the U.S. and beyond to cover breaking and set-piece news events. These Video-Journalists must have the ability and willingness to work any shift, including at night and on weekends, or as coverage demands, as AP is a 24/7 operation.
