New York, USA: Video Journalist, Originals - Dow Jones

Job Vacancy:
Video Journalist, Originals - Dow Jones

New York, USA

Job Description:
The Wall Street Journal is looking for a video journalist to join its Originals video team. Video journalists in this group produce topical, news-focused, feature videos, ranging in length from two to seven minutes across a variety of coverage areas.

Top candidates for this position will have a professional background in video journalism, demonstrate exceptional story development, scriptwriting, and have experience with shooting and editing.

We are looking for someone who is excited about pitching, developing, reporting and writing scripts and shooting and editing videos. You will juggle many tasks and collaborate across the Journal's newsroom.

Please note, this is not an entry-level position and it is not a position producing documentaries.

Because this is a global news operation, candidates need to show successful executions of timely news projects that have been done in just a few hours, as well as videos produced with longer lead times.

In this role, you will report to the Supervising Producer on the Originals team. You will start this job remotely but will eventually be based in our New York office.
