EBU Moscow is a Representative Office of the EBU and plays a critical role in supporting EBU and ES operations in Russia, CIS and globally. EBU Moscow translates and editorially manages content contributed to the Eurovision News Exchange by the Russian EBU members (Channel One Russia and RTR). A key pillar of the EBU’s activities, the News Exchange has shared content between its Members since 1961. It draws on the newsgathering resources of more than 70 EBU Members,sublicensees and media partners worldwide,as well as the Eurovision News Eventsteam and international organizations. It provides round-the-clock access to live and edited news and sports stories in video and audio, as they happen. When possible EBU Moscow staff also produce (shoot, edit and write) their own coverage of news events. EBU Moscow provides staff, equipment and resources for Eurovision News Events in the region and worldwide. They provide broadcast support services for TV, radio and digital platforms, serving the needs of the international news community. Services currently include support for breaking news and planned event coverage, including: location stand-ups, playouts, workspaces, live pool distribution, live-streaming, camera crews andediting, technical support, radio and TV studios, transmission facilities and bespoke services. They also partner with event organisers to provide a range of contribution, distribution, production and consultancy services. NB The EBU Moscow team is the preferred partner for providing Eurovision News Events services for the international travels of the President of the Russian Federation, and for a wide variety of foreign dignitaries when they visit Russia and the CIS. |
