A MENA Broadcast Journalist (MENA-BJ) is a multi-skilled professional who combines his/her technical skills (video editing), with journalistic competence (keen news sense, writing scripts) Ruptly video news agency is operating 24/7. The MENA Broadcast Journalist must be willing and able to work any shift, including nights and weekends.

Your profile

Excellent news judgment
Non-linear editing experience
Fluent Arabic + English
Ability to multi-task and manage daily duties under extreme pressure
Passion for news matched by a knowledge of world affairs
Knowledge of newsroom production system
Ability to work in a team, learn quickly, and be ready to respond to news 24/7
Must be a self-starter and creative problem-solver with good communication skills able to work effectively as part of a team.

You are not:

Uninterested in popular news
Social media illiterate or unaware of how to use it for news gathering purposes
Hoping for a 9-5 lifestyle. Just like the news, Ruptly is 24/7

Desirable

Any additional languages beside Arabic and English would be considered an asset.
