Sport is a cornerstone of military life and this role offers a unique opportunity to get inside this special world. The ideal candidate will be able to turn their hand to most sports and enjoy covering elite level to grassroots. You will also thrive in live broadcasting as well as enjoying storytelling and social media content creation, and have a strong on-screen presence.

The team is small, so flexibility and a can-do attitude are a must. BFBS Sport broadcasts on radio, digital video platforms and BFBS’s TV channels for the British military.

Your Main Responsibilities:

Filming, editing and producing sport stories in video
Filming and producing social media posts
Growing a network of contacts to unearth stories and features
Writing sharp and concise stories for forcesnews.com
Working with colleagues on live broadcasts
Commentating on live sport
Taking the lead on live events to coordinate with venues and organisers
