Sky News Arabia buys multiple flyaway systems from SIS LIVE

SIS LIVE have been selected by Sky News Arabia (SNA) to supply multiple flyaway systems and ongoing technical support for key parts of their contribution services across the Middle East and North Africa. They have also been selected to provide additional remote control fixed links in key regional bureau locations, including a 1.2m Tr-uPod®.

In addition to the sale of products, SIS LIVE have also secured part of the satellite capacity requirements for SNA. SIS LIVE have significantly increased their satellite pool with premium fixed Intelsat and Eutelsat space, and will be supplying a significant amount of additional capacity for SNA’s contribution feeds in the Middle East territory.

Sky News Arabia is a new, free-to-air Arabic-language news channel which will launch to viewers across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region in Spring 2012. Based in Abu Dhabi, Sky News Arabia will operate under the Sky News brand, providing comprehensive coverage of the regional and international news agenda through a 24-hour channel offering rolling news and current affairs programming, as well as a video-rich website and mobile applications.
