LiveU proves mission critical for record-breaking US election coverage

Hackensack, N.J., November 2016: LiveU covered every mile of the road to U.S. Election Day 2016 culminating with record-breaking numbers for the company on Election Day: 1,800 portable transmission packs in use, nearly 8,000 hours of streaming, and 212 equipment rentals. LiveU played a central role in bringing the most comprehensive Election 2016 coverage to the 71 million viewers tuned in around the world.

For Election Day, LiveU collaborated closely with campaign management to provide onsite support and extra equipment at both Clinton and Trump Victory Celebration locations. LiveU also deployed an expansive team of engineers and specific Wi-Fi hotspots throughout NYC to support its global customer base who arrived to cover the election.

The U.S. Presidential Election generated tremendous global interest. International broadcasters from Europe, Asia, and Latin America accounted for more than 50% of the equipment rentals.
