TRT World recruits media staff for launch of its English news service later this year
Istanbul, May 2015: The state-broadcaster, TRT, is making final preparations for the launch of its English-language news channel, TRT World, in the final quarter of 2015.
Earlier this month it conducted a test broadcast and held a ceremony in Istanbul to present the new service.
The deputy prime minister, Yalcin Akdogan, was quoted as saying: "TRT World will be a channel that transmits Turkey's messages to the whole world."
TRT World has also launched its new website: www.trtworld.com
The new television service is headquartered in Istanbul with four newsrooms around the world.
It is currently advertising vacancies for a number of media staff to be based in Istanbul, Washington DC, London and Kuala Lumpur: www.trtworldjobs.com
