The position:
RUPTLY is looking to hire a Broadcast Journalist for its Berlin headquarters. The Ruptly Broadcast Journalist is a multi-skilled professional who combines video-editing skills with journalistic competence, and tops it off with a total familiarity with multimedia technology.

You are:
  • a hardworking and driven self-starter who thrives under pressure
  • a multi-skilled video news journalist who knows how to film, edit, write scripts and transmit your pieces. Or you’re someone who really badly wants to learn how to do all that;
  • a news junkie who lives and breathes news
  • a detail-oriented fact checker
  • totally happy to trawl through the internet for gripping stories and you have a real sense of what people will click on
  • a native or near-native English speaker
  • preferably multi-lingual (especially French, Turkish, Arabic, or Chinese)
  • in possession of EU citizenship or a valid EU work permit
You are not:
  • Uninterested in popular news
  • Social media illiterate or unaware of how to use it for news gathering purposes
  • Hoping for a 9-5 lifestyle. Just like the news, Ruptly is 24/7
