Oslo, Norway - June 21-22, 2012

Closing arguments in the trial of confessed Norwegian mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik are scheduled to take place at the Oslo Tinghuset Courthouse on June 21-22, when the trial is scheduled to end. The verdict is expected on either July 20 or August 24, 2012.

Breivik has confessed to killing 77 people in a pair of deadly attacks in Norway last July. The 32-year-old blew up a fertilizer bomb outside Norway's government headquarters on 22 July 2011 killing eight people. He then moved on to a Labor Party youth camp where he shot to death 69 more people, most in their teens and early 20's, before surrendering to police. He said the attack was part of his campaign to stop Muslims from taking over Europe.

If found guilty and sane, Breivik would face 21 years in prison although he can be held longer if deemed a danger to society. If declared insane, he would be committed to compulsory psychiatric care.

The feedpoint will remain operational through the end of the trial, June 22nd, and will also be operational for the verdict (exact date TBC).
