GERMAN MIGRATION ROW
BERLIN, GERMANY
18 JUNE 2018

A major rift has opened up between German Chancellor Angela Merkel and her interior minister over migrant policy.

Bavaria’s Christian Social Union decides today whether to start implementing a plan to reject migrants who have already registered in other EU states.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel opposes such a move as it would reverse her 2015 open-door policy and undermine her authority. The split could threaten her three-month-old coalition government.

EUROVISION Special Events will offer the following facilities onsite:

• Standup position for Live programme inserts
• Playout
• IP Hybrid Connectivity to the Eurovision Global Network
