MARINE LE PEN PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN LAUNCH

Marine Le Pen is due to launch her Campaign for the presidential election on 05 February 2017 in Lyon, France at 1400GMT (1500 Local Time). The leader of the extreme right-wing National Front (FN) will unveil her programme at those presidential assises.

Through her policy of "un-demonising” the FN, Le Pen sought to distance the party she inherited from her father Jean-Marie from its past association in the public mind with right wing extremists. She is a serious contender in the next election in France and counts on the support of working-class voters.
