Geneva 9-12 January 2017
Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades along with Turkish Cypriot leader Mustafa Akinci,
are to resume their negotiations in Geneva, Switzerland from January 9th to January 12th.
On the January 11th, Anastasiades and Akinci will present their respective maps.
From January 12, a Conference on Cyprus will be convened with the added participation of the guarantor powers and UNSC members.

12 - 13 JANUARY 2017

A multi-party talks on Cyprus will be held in Geneva, Switzerland on 12-13 January 2017.

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres will be in Geneva tomorrow, Thursday 12 January 2017, to open the Conference on Cyprus.

The conference will take place in the Council Chamber at the Palais des Nations, with the participation of His Excellency Nicos Anastasiades, His Excellency Mustafa Akinci, the Special Adviser of the UN Secretary-General on Cyprus, Espen Barth Eide, and the representatives of the guarantor powers, Greece, Turkey and the United Kingdom. The European Union will also be attending as an observer/interested party.

Reunification talks between the Greek and Turkish communities on the island of Cyprus resumed in May 2015 and are expected to be resolved in 2017 with the formation of a federal administration.
