A petition that calls for a second Brexit referendum will be debated before the House of Commons on the 5th of September.

The petition was signed by more than 4 million people. Once the MPs have raised all relevant points on behalf of the people, a minster will address them. However this decision will not result in another referendum being launched as this is a decision that would need to be taken by the government.
