A priest has been killed in a church in Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray, near Rouen, France, after two men armed with knifes took hostages the priest, two nuns and two worshippers.

The police has shot the two hostage-takers. Apart from the priest, one of the persons attending the church has been severely injured.

French Anti-terrorist authorities are investigating the case.
