Ten years have passed since the Palestinian split between the political factions has taken place after June incident; this split has a negative impact on the Palestinians’ democratic life as they have not participated in any kind of elections since then. 2016 is considered as a remarkable year for the Palestinians will participate in the local elections for the first time after 10 years of halt. Seventy-four thousand Palestinians will cast their ballots in various Palestinian governorates on the 8th of October, 2016.
