European finance ministers will deliberate over how to treat Greece’s ongoing debt crisis.

Eurozone finance ministers had been tentatively scheduled to meet to decide whether new measures passed by Greece were sufficient to obtain funds that would allow it to make a repayment of €2.3 billion by July 20 on bonds held by the European Central Bank.

Greek unemployment remains the highest in Europe at almost 25% – and just under 50% among the young, at a time when the country is desperately grappling with refugees pouring across its borders.

The President of European Council Donald Tusk has turned down Athens request for a special summit of eurozone leaders on Greece's third bailout.
