Paris, France, 12 December 2015

The final draw of the EURO 2016 tournament will be held at the Palais des Congres in Paris, France, on 12 December 2015.

The 24 teams which will participate in the EURO 2016 will be drawn into six groups of four teams each.

The finals will start on Friday 10 June 2016 and culminate with the final a month later, 10 July, at the Stade de France in Paris.

There will be nine other venues in Bordeaux, Lens, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Nice, Paris, St-Etienne, and Toulouse. As hosts, France qualify automatically for the first 24-team final tournament.

France hosted the inaugural tournament in 1960 as well as the finals in 1984.

There will be four pots for the draw:
Pot 1: five teams to include Spain, as the reigning European champions, if they qualify

Pots 2, 3 and 4: six teams

France are not included in the pots as they are automatically assigned as team A1.

The teams will be drawn into six groups of four teams each (Groups A to F), with the top two in each plus the four best third-placed sides to advance to the knockout phase.

Eurovision Special Events will establish production and transmission facilities for non-rights-holders:

HD/SD Standup positions for live programme inserts
Tape playout (multi-format)
Connectivity to the Eurovision Global Network

No accreditation will be needed to reach the Eurovision feedpoint for non-rights-holders, as it will be located outside the exclusive zone for rights-holders.
