Kerry will officially inaugurate the US Embassy
Secretary of State John Kerry will travel to Havana on August 14th, to raise the American flag over the U.S. embassy in Cuba. Kerry's historic trip will mark the first secretary of state to visit to the island since 1945.

The Associated Press will provide broadcast facilities from two different locations in Havana:
* U.S. Embassy: Live stand-up positions inside the grounds of the U.S. embassy in Havana.
* AP Havana bureau: standup positions from our permanent bureau, located in the 'old Havana' area, with gorgeous 180 degree views of the city. Limited workspace is available, with internet and access to pool and AP video.
AP HAVANA BUREAU IS NOW HIGH DEFINITION
The AP Havana bureau has recently upgraded and can now transmit multiple SD/HD paths.

American Embassy Opening
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry will travel to Havana, Cuba, on Aug. 14th to raise the American flag over the U.S. Embassy in Cuba. Kerry's historic trip will mark the first visit to the island by a secretary of state since 1945. The United States and Cuba restored diplomatic ties on 20 July, with both countries' Interest Sections officially becoming embassies.
PLEASE NOTE FOR ACCESS TO THE EMBASSY: The American Embassy needs a list of all the people who will be working from the Embassy grounds and the Eurovision stand-up position. Please email the full names, date of birth, nationality, passport number to narahari@eurovision-us.net of each person that will be working from the Embassy.
