Luxembourg, 4-5 September 2015

EU Foreign Ministers will hold an informal meeting under the Luxembourg Presidency of the European Council on 4th and 5th September 2015 at Luxembourg's European Convention Centre.

Luxembourg Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Jean Asselborn, EU High Representative Federica Mogherini, the EU ministers of foreign affairs, and representatives of candidate countries will meet on 4th and 5th September in Luxembourg to discuss the Middle East peace process, relations between the EU and Russia, the Iranian nuclear programme, and the current influx of migrants and refugees that are seeking asylum in the EU. The number of refugees and migrants crossing the Mediterranean to reach Europe has reached a record high as the world faces its largest humanitarian crisis since the second world war.
