Ufa, Russia, 7-10 July 2015

Ufa, the capital of the Republic of Bashkortostan in Russia, will host the 7th BRICS summit on 8 and 9 July 2015 at the Ufa Congress Hall.

BRICS is an association of five emerging economies: Brazil, Russia, India, China and South-Africa. It has existed in its current form since 2010, when South-Africa joined what was until then know as BRIC.

The BRICS summit will be followed by a Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Heads of State Council meeting in the same location on July 9 and 10. The SCO consists of founding members China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan, joined in 2001 by Uzbekistan. Afghanistan, India, Iran, Mongolia and Pakistan are observer states.
