Pope Francis will pay a one-day visit to Sarajevo, capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina on 6 June 2015.
The slogan of the Papal visit to the nation still recovering from the 1992-1995 war will be ‘Peace Be With You’. The logo of the Papal visit is a dove with an olive branch, symbol of peace, flanked by a cross, part of which is a stylized triangle symbolizing the country’s borders, with the colors of white, blue, yellow, and red representing both the country’s flag as well as the presence of Croats in the nation ravaged by the war which claimed over 100,000 lives.

Visit of the Pope to Bosnia
Pope Francis will visit Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in June. The Pope plans to “give rise to the development of good and contribute to the consolidation of brotherhood and peace,” while encouraging Bosnia’s small Catholic population. The country is still recovering from the 1992-1995 Bosnian War, which claimed over 100,000 lives and gave rise to anti-government riots and high unemployment.

Pope Francis is to visit Sarajevo on 6 June. The visit is aimed at the "encouragement for the Catholic faithful, arouse ferments of good and contribute to the consolidation of brotherhood and peace, of interreligious dialogue and friendship." The visit will entail an inter-religious tone in a European country where 40% of the population identify themselves as Muslims, Orthodox Christians make up 31% and Roman Catholics are 15%.
