Dead Sea, Jordan, 21-23 May 2015
The World Economic Forum on the Middle East and North Africa will be taking place in the Dead Sea resort, in Jordan, between the 21st and 23rd of May 2015, with for theme the “creation of a regional framework for prosperity and peace through Public-Private cooperation”. It will aim to play host to dialogue and debate around objectives for the transformation of industry and competitiveness, employment and entrepreneurship, governance and institutions, as well as geo-economics and geopolitics.
The 2015 Forum in Jordan will take place in a context of particular instability and conflict in the Middle East, with record numbers of displaced peoples and refugees in the region. Focus is expected to revolve around the response to such issues, while addressing cross-regional concerns of infrastructure and development, on parallel to rapid population growth and fluctuating profitability in the oil industry and other key markets.
Top leaders from the Middle East and Africa are set to attend the Forum, with a number of guests from other global public and private sector delegations.
