Boston, USA, 26 January 2015

Opening arguments in the trial of the Boston marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev are due to be heard on Monday January 26th.

Two bombs placed near the finish line of the 2013 marathon killed three people and injured more than 260. Mr Tsarnaev has pleaded not guilty to 30 charges, 17 of which carry the death penalty.

Defence lawyers have questioned whether a fair and impartial jury can be found in the area, but all attempts to have the trial moved or delayed have been rejected.

Eurovision Americas will provide live stand-up positions and playouts from outside the court in Boston, Massachusetts.
