The ATP has announced that Turkey will host its first-ever tour event, the Istanbul Open, in 2015.
The clay-court event will take place from April 27-May 3, a week before the Madrid Open.
It will be held at the Koza World of Sports, billed as the largest tennis academy in the world, with 63 indoor and outdoor courts. The center court has a retractable roof.
''This incredible new facility in Istanbul will make a wonderful addition to the many remarkable venues that feature on the ATP World Tour," ATP executive chairman and president Chris Kermode said.
