The work with the new rules of employment , the taxes with the reform of VAT at EU and immigration are the issues at the center of the Italian Presidency of the European Union that started on July 1st .

Milan, Italy, 12-13 September 2014
The second Eurogroup during the six-month Italian Presidency of the EU Council is held on Friday 12 September at 10 A.M. The meeting of Ministers of Economy and Finance of the euro area will take place at the Convention Centre Mi.CO., in Milan.
A press conference is scheduled at (around) 12:00 GMT.
Topics under discussion are:
- economic situation in the euro area
- Cyprus: 5th review of the economic adjustment programme
- Greece: state of play of the economic adjustment programme
- Ireland: partial early repayment of the IMF loan
- banking union: euro area aspects
- thematic discussion on reforms aimed at reducing the high tax wedge on labour to promote growth and jobs
On September 12th the 11th ASEM - ASIAN EUROPEAN FINANCE MINISTERS MEETING will be held. 49 Finance Ministers will attend the Asia-Europe summit and will discuss economic collaboration on a global level and cooperation opportunities between Asia and Europe, specifically focusing on the theme: "a new strategic alliance to create advantageous and sustainable growth.
On Saturday 13 September, an informal meeting of the 28 European Economic and Finance Ministres will also take place at the MiCo Conference Centre in Milan.
