According to press reports, Hollande is planning to tie the knot with French film and TV star Julie Gayet, 42, on 12 August.
The affair between the mother-of-two and the president became public knowledge in January 2014.
Hollande’s live-in partner, journalist Valerie Trierweiler, 49, then left his official home in the Elysee Palace. The socialist president has fathered four children with his ecology minister, Segolene Royal, another former girlfriend and a former socialist presidential candidate.
