Washington, DC, 02-May 2014

German Chancellor Angela Merkel will make a short visit to Washington, her first since it was revealed that the National Security Agency (NSA) had secretly listened in on her phone calls. While in Washington, Chancellor Merkel will meet with IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde, address the Chamber of Commerce, and meet with President Obama. The two leaders will then give a joint press conference with the situation in Ukraine as well as tensions over the NSA scandal expected to dominate.

Eurovision will offer live standup positions from the North Lawn of the White House to enable coverage of the meeting between President Obama and Chancellor Merkel.
