27.04.2014Italy: Canonization of John Paul II and John XXIII *** ARCHIVE

H24

Vatican City, April 27th 2014

"A saint now!" The canonisation of Pope John Paul II and Pope Giovanni XXIII will be celebrated next 27 of April. The medical council of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints has recognized as inexplicable one healing attributed to the blessed John Paul II. A supposed "miracle" that, if it is also approved by theologians and the cardinals (as it is very likely), will bring the Polish Pope, who died in 2005, the halo of sainthood in record time, just eight years after his death.

H24 will offer full LIVE FACILITIES at the VATICAN on ad-hoc or exclusive or special-package basis:

@ LIVE STANDUP POSITIONS at ST. PETER'S SQUARE

Blesseds John Paul II and John XXIII will be canonized on Sunday 27 April 2014, one week after Easter, the Holy See Press Office announced today.

Pope Francis decreed that his two predecessors, John XXIII and John Paul II, will be elevated to Sainthood on Sunday, 27 April 2014, on the festivity of the Divine Mercy, the Vatican said.

Polish John Paul, the first non-Italian pope for more than 400 years, led the Catholic Church from 1978-2005. Pope John XXIII, known as ''the good Pope'', called Vatican II Council that transformed the Catholic Church during his 1958-1963 reign.

The ceremony is expected to draw hundreds of thousands of pilgrims to Rome. Over 1.5 million faithful, many from Poland, attended the Beatification ceremony of Pope John Paull II in May 2011.

Overon will offer the following facilities from Castel San Angel in Rome with San Pietro on the backdrop.

- Live stands up positions in Castelo de San Angelo/Piazza Pia
- Wireless camera for different locations
- Multiformat play out (NTSC/PAL )
- Dedicated Paths in exclusive upon request

THE ASSOCIATED PRESS I AP 360

VATICAN CITY, VATICAN, 25-27 APRIL 2014

Popes John Paul II and John XXIII will be declared saints on 27 April at a Vatican ceremony that might see two living popes honoring two dead ones.

Retired Pope Benedict XVI may join Pope Francis for the canonization of two of the 20th century's most influential pontiffs.

The much-loved John Paul II made Jorge Mario Bergoglio - the current Pope Francis - a cardinal. Francis' immense popular appeal has also been likened to that of John XXIII, dubbed the "good pope".

Large numbers of pilgrims are expected to gather in St Peter's Square for the ceremony, an event long anticipated by the world's 1.2 billion Catholics.
